If price is removed from the equation, it seems DriveTribe users rate “brand I can trust” as the most important factor when it comes to concerns over vehicle tyres.
Of the 1,115 people polled, 47% rated tyre brand as their most important factor compared to 32% who cited checking tyre pressure regularly and 18% who went for checking tread depth as the single most important factor.
However, users that were asked to comment said their answers were seldom mutually exclusive, with respondents suggesting it is a close-call between each factor. Many also referenced winter tyres and specialist tyres as other important considerations.
Updated poll widget builds statistical value
While this snapshot provides a telling vote of confidence for brand values, it is a classic example of a poll that will benefit from recent updates to DriveTribe's data-capture widget. As seen in the example poll below, amongst other things, users can now order their answers on the basis of most to least important factor, enabling us to build a more interrogative comparison as opposed to a “winner takes all” result.
Furthermore, our widget can now be embedded on third party sites, enabling us to capture comparative data from different media channels and customer segments. Embedding the widget takes a matter of seconds – its pretty much equivalent to embedding a YouTube video for example.

Oh… if you’re interested in seeing how answers change in our tyre poll once price and the ability to order answers are included, please check back in a few day’s time, or subscribe to our weekly email update.
